OUr Vision
Global warming is a very serious issue. According to the NCEI, the global annual temperature has increased at an average rate of 0.14°F per decade since 1880 and over twice that rate (0.32°F) since 1981. But it isn’t too late to turn this around. There are multiple factors that lead to global warming; among these include air pollution and trash mass. What if we said we had a way to reduce both of these AND create energy at the same time?
Our Mission
Countries like Sweden, UK, Ireland, Norway, and Italy utilize a method called “Sweden’s Recycling Strategy”. Trash, in these countries, is burned in specific plants that use this fire to create energy. The fire boils water, the steam from the water is used to create clean energy. The emissions from the trash itself are sent through a chimney like tube filled with filters; these filters take out almost all polluting toxins. Sounds like a pretty good method, right? If the United States were to take this into effect, we would produce a LOT less pollution.
Just the facts
14%
of waste in Norway gets sent to landfills. They are living, laughing, and recycling over there. They use a recycling service to pick up recycled products every week. They utilize Sweden’s method.
1%
of waste in Sweden gets sent to landfills. This means they recycle and utilize 99% of their waste. As well as Norway, they too use a recycling service. Believe it or not, they use Sweden’s method.
65.4%
of waste in the United States gets sent to landfills to get burned. Not only does this produce more trash mass, but the emissions from the landfills create air pollution.
